Broken Garage Door Spring Replacement

If you heard a loud bang from the garage and now the door won't lift, or it feels extremely heavy, a broken spring is the most likely cause. Springs do the heavy lifting for your garage door. Your opener only guides it, so when a spring breaks, the door can't work properly.

Most homes have either torsion springs, mounted on a bar above the door, or extension springs, which run along the tracks on each side. Over time, every spring wears out from use. Doorbusters LLC replaces both types and checks the cables, drums and other parts while we're there, so you know the door is balanced and working safely.

Please don't try to open a door with a broken spring by hand or with the opener, and don't try to replace a spring yourself. Springs are under high tension and can cause serious injury. Leave the door closed if you can and call us.
